Scott C. Syphax
Scott Syphax is the President and CEO of
Nehemiah Corporation of America (NCA), a Sacramento, CA
not-for-profit community development corporation. NCA is listed
as the 30th largest private company in Sacramento with gross
revenues of $187 million.
Mr. Syphax serves on the Board of Directors of Federal Home
Loan Bank of San Francisco and is Chairman of the Affordable
Housing Committee. Scott was appointed by the Schwarzenegger
Administration as the Chairman of the Financial Solvency
Standards Board of California and also serves as a member of
the California Economic Strategy Commission. Scott is a
Director for Sutter Hospital and Healthcare Systems and
Homeaid America. He is a member of Sacramento State University's
College of Business Advisory Committee, serves as a
Vice-Chairman of the Corporate Fund Board for the John F.
Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.,
and is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Coro
Foundation in New York City.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with
an emphasis on Real Estate Development and Land Use Planning
from the California State University, Sacramento. He was also
an Executive Fellow with the Coro Foundation and a Fellow with
the American Leadership Forum.
